Did you own a legit copy or do you have a cracked copy?

I want that damn english patch.

Our very own MidBoss was pretty awesome and got the english translation files here for anyone who already has the game or can't afford the 300$ to shell out towards a brand new copy of the game (which was stupidly ONLY released with the 3rd season of Carnival Phantasm, not counting the ps2 version).

I think Midboss and I are the only melty blood fans here, but if anyone else happens to want a copy of the translation file, just thank Midboss.

(Note: The translation is not complete, this only has 50% of the winquotes and the menu's.
Story mode is not even touched yet)

It was first run only as well. If you WERE to go out and buy the 3rd season now, you wouldn't get the game with it. You could gamble on a copy used from an auction site but the key would probably be used. Piracy is actually the only way to get it if you don't already have it.

No that's not entirely true.

You can still buy it brand new from Amazon and Ebay (make sure you have that whole buyers protection thing though).

However you have to buy the special edition one.
Amazon has them brand new for as low as 549$
Ebay has them as low as 395$...
And that's used meaning your key would be used already.

So the only legal way to get ahold of the game is to pay 549$
(I haven't found a new copy anywhere except amazon and ebay, and there aren't any new copies on Ebay currently).

But they aren't shipping more. On their end, they've already sold every copy. Any first press copies left are inflated to hell and back because it's out of print. Can it really be demonized when what you want is no longer being produced?

Maybe I seem argumentative here, but I'm just setting straight why their strict stance on the issue is so offensively stupid. If you want to get the game legitimately, you have to risk buying it used (this does not support French Bread, Ecole, or Type Moon in any way), or buying a new copy basically second-hand that someone bought just to resell (this also does not support them).

Squeeze, you may have made me a Melty Blood fan. I just got off after playing basically all night and having by far the most fun I've ever had with a fighting game.

Also, Kohaku has the best walking animation ever.

Ahh, now I understand what you mean.

I apologize, I thought you were saying that there is no way to purchase the game new, but what you meant was that there was no way to purchase it new from the original dealers that still nets French Bread the money they deserve.

Kohaku is one of the most adorable and my best character.

My favorite character would probably be Ryougi Shiki though.
Not for her gameplay (though she is fun to play with, so is Ciel too), but for her character from Garden of Sinners.

Speaking of Ryougi Shiki, they did an amazing job with her anime OVA's.
I've been meaning to pick up the light novels.



Also I love this stage.
Makes me want to finish watching Carnival Phantasm.
