I've had some rotten luck in this game. 347 runs on chapter 10 hard to get a claimn solais+1 was the worse case. There were times when I switched to solo games because I couldn't stand seeing another player get it, especially when they played badly and relied on me winning the game. There were even times when I wanted to punch other players in the face.
Can anyone tell me they've had worse luck? It would make me feel better, and then anyone else who can top it with even worse luck can make them feel better too.
This is therapy. Share your frustation and you'll feel better, especially if someone else had even worse luck than you.
My worse luck is on chapter 6. I never got anything good out of it. I got all the rare items on other chapters well before I got a single one on chapter 6. I still haven't got a regular claimn solais and hate chapter 6 so much I don't even want it anymore. I played about 30 games on chapter 6 normal trying to get a vorpal blade and then switched to chapter 10 and got it in about 6 games.
I played chapters 3 to 7 several times over to get pneuma and got 8 lapiste before I got a single pneuma. Horrible. Nasty.
I hate final swords. I hate them. If you get 4 in a row your luck has reached rock bottom. It's the most unlucky item you can get.
Does anyone know if maxing out R. The Creature has any effect on mana regeneration?

The game does have an annoying way of what comes out of the gold chest, and possibly think that it's not well balanced. I've had some bad luck with certain items, especially getting 2 copies of Miser Rings, 1 Retro Armor and 9 Philosopher's Stone. All of those took me about a week (2 with the Philosopher's Stone) worth of farming to obtaining them, which was very frustrating, and almost made me give up on getting them. It was made up when I got lucky when getting 2 Valmanway +1 in less than a couple of hours, Dracula's Tunic in less than half an hour, and Sonic Boots on my first Chapter 9 run on hard.
The R. The Creature souls has no effect on mana regeneration even if you get 9 of them, but the Treant soul has that effect, which you gain 0.1 mana regeneration per soul. If you get 9 R. The Creature souls, you gain 1 HP every 2 seconds, which isn't worth it, so you are better off with 9 Succubus souls, especially if you have a fast weapon, for example, the Valmanway (or the +1).

I'm on somewhere around my first 100 runs for Shanoa on Chapters 3 and 4. I have yet to get a single new weapon for her. Confodere is so garbage.

Anyone who plays with me automatically has terrible luck.

Anyone who plays with me automatically has terrible luck. I have the opposite effect on other players; I get the rotten luck and others get lucky off the back of my work. It would have been less frustrating if it were other players who knew how to play right getting the rare items, but why people who haven't even played enough games to get speed boots and obviously can't beat the boss on their own? Sometimes I suspect luck in this game is like luck in real life; it doesn't really exist. Luck gear is equivalent to 4 leaf clovers and chucking salt over your shoulder etc; it's all in the mind. Just the way Konami planned. Some of the frustration is Konami's fault for not saying how luck works, which leaves everyone uncertain about the best strategy for getting rare items, so we end up wasting time trying things which may or may not be right. Although it's possible that even if people had all the information they might still reach different conclusions about what to do with it. Would you aim for fast easy runs with 0.5% drop rates or slow hard runs with 5% drop rates, if you knew for sure? It's satisfying when you finally get what you were after, but most of the time you had to go through a heck of a lot of frustration for it. I've got a scale of unluckyness, which runs from 1 up to final sword. You'd have to break every bone in your body or something to reach final sword levels of bad luck.

Lol me too. Its been taking me FOREVER to get Fuma's Armor. But every time I go co-op I can see other players getting it and I'm like WTF? I'm having trouble getting rares for my whip users in chapter 11. I dunno sometimes drop rates are kinda messed up, even with luck gear.
