I just got it a week and half ago, it's great but I'm only a quarter through the game.

You guys have good taste.
Love FF6, FFT, and Suikoden 2. And pretty much anything by Treasure.

Reading this topic has been refreshing.
Gotta go with Guilty Gear Accent Core, Armored Core beginning to latest, and Call of Duty.

Let's see...
Super Metroid and Metroid Prime for sure. I love the Metroid series and these are easily my top 2 games of all time. Sadly, none of the other Primes compare.
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale
Gotta put Marble Blast Ultra in here, seeing as how I pretty much played every day for almost 2 years straight, and still play it from time-to-time.
Megaman X3, but pretty much all the MMX series are great up until 7. (7 was my last one. And 5 and 6 don't compare to the first 4 really.)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is still fun as hell to this day. (Even the Water Temple.)
Tales of Vesperia (sadly my first Tales of game. been looking for Abyss and Symphonia for a while now.)
American McGee's Alice. Really gets into your nerves after a couple of hours playing. And the soundtrack is a masterpiece.

just 3? that's tough
smb 3, s3&k, shining force 2, blast corps, ff8, armored core, tes3: morrowind, KotOR, metal wolf chaos, shadow of the colossus, mass effect
you know what, forget it. If it's a popular game I've probably played it and enjoyed. Except the Tales series, never really cared for the Tales series.

There's 3 poisons I need. Castlevania, Mega Man and Metroid.
Aside from these 3 series, which should easily show you my favorite genre overall, I like platformers in general, so you can also give me joy with things like Mario, Klonoa, Rocket Knight, and so on.
I'm a huge fan of puzzle games, as well - Meteos, Panel de Pon, 8ejeweled, and o8viously Tetris, just to name a few. Aside from this, I also enjoy shmups; Gradius and its spoof Parodius are among my favorite series. 8ut I also like Star Fox (at least the first 2 games), R-Type, Touhou, etc. The fourth and last 8ig genre I enjoy is fighting games - Street Fighter, Tekken, Smash 8ros., whatever, just gimme some characters that punch each other. I do have to note though that this is pro8a8ly the genre I know the most o8scure games in, I've played fighters no8ody even heard of 8efore. XD
Finally, I enjoy the occasional FPS, especially stealth games here, strategy (8oth round-8ased and real time) and futuristic racers. To drop a few names, Team Fortress 2, Unreal Tournament '99, F-Zero, Civilization, Command & Conquer and Masters of Orion 2.
That's just going with what I like at times, I do enjoy games of pretty much every genre if they're good, the only genre I don't like TOO much is RPGs, simulations (in terms of driving, flight and such) and sports games.

I'd have to say the Metal Gear, Resident Evil, and Final Fantasy series (7, 8, and 10)
