I've got a terrible backlog of games too. With work and junk piling up one on top of the other, I only have time for PSN games lately. I'm glad I get to leisurely play a variety of quality games at all, what with blu-ray games each lasting up to over a hundred hours.
Although, Harmony of Despair probably has clocked in longer now than the time it took me to plat Agarest War.

Vanguard Princess You should all get it. Here: poverty.mizuumi.net/wiki/Vanguard_PrincessThe new netplay client is pretty decent, actually. It somehow miraculously manages slightly less input lag than even GGPO, though in exchange it skips a few frames here and there.

white knight chronicles 2 the first one was kinda meh, but the 2nd one is great.
@midboss, does Vanguard princess have a story of sorts, or is it another mugen-type game? where you just fight eachother with no clue as to why.
I've been meaning to try out vanguard princess for awhile. i'll get around to it eventually

It's nothing like MUGEN, which isn't a game at all but a rather shoddy engine to make games with.
It has some sort of backstory, but I dunno if there are conversations in arcade mode or anything. If there are, they'd be in Japanese. Really if you're looking for a story from a fighting game you're pretty much always going to be disappointed (in the case of BlazBlue, it's the fighting game part that's disappointing though... lol).

(in the case of BlazBlue, it's the fighting game part that's disappointing though... lol). I couldn't follow BlazBlue's story at all. Although from what I think I understood, it was pretty great. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey duders, Recettear's 50% off right now. If I had the money I'd buy it for all of you, but I don't, so in the words of the great Julius Beardmont... IT'S UP TO YOU! Recettear: An Item Shop's TaleAlso Chantelise is 50% of as well. Same developers, but more combat-oriented instead of being Pawn Stars. Still has the amazing and hilarious dialogue, however. Chantelise: A Tale of Two SistersAlso it's cheaper than Recettear.

threads of fate was fun, i still haven't beaten it yet. Legend of mana was awesome too. Still haven't beaten it. (I think Legend of Mana is now available for the PSN, right? I'm thinking of getting it again, I miss that game...) In any case, YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST...! ...I'm just gunna gush for a sec. (Following egoraptor's rant style.) Isn't the whole painterly aesthetic awesome!? Isn't the soundtrack so beautiful and viceral!? Isn't it awesome how you can direct your attack pattern and combo as though you were in a fighting game?! How you decisions affected the plot flow of the game!? How YOU created the world map and populated it with towns where ever you wanted!? -ahem.- Yeah. Had a lot of fun back then. =) I think it's a classic.
