Assume your Alucard has nine of each spell, maxed out Miser Rings, and all of his equippable gear (including two Yasutsuna +1s, two Valmanway +1s, etc.). However, his Badelaire is not fully powered up.
Given this, would you consider Alucard to be maxed out, or not yet maxed out because the Badelaire hasn't fully powered up? Consider that the Alucard Sword +1 has the same attack power as a fully powered up Badelaire, and it has the advantages of speed and a special attack.
Edit: The poll question looks like it was truncated. The question basically asked "Is having a fully powered Badelaire a prerequisite for considering Alucard to be maxed out?"

Does the sword get stronger on Total play time or just Alucard play time? If it's total play time I'd say by the time its done Everyone else could be worked on. But if I remember correctly you had said that your maxed on everything so.... THEN my answer would be yes since there wouldn't be nothing left to do besides that sword.

If something doesn't make you stronger, and it's gear you're never going to use, then it doesn't make any difference imho. I mean, that would be like saying Alucard isn't maxed out if you don't have a Hercules Ring. But who in their right mind is going to farm Chapter 1 normal for that outside of a completionist?

... Yeah. Well that was me and my friends when we first played and we didn't know what it did so we wanted to try to get it.

Does the sword get stronger on Total play time or just Alucard play time? It's Alucard's play time only, unfortunately. I agree with behindtimes on this one. I think fully powering up the Badelaire is only necessary if you're a completionist.

That is true, I mean if i wanted a strong weapon like that I'd just use the time to get the alucard sword +1, heck maybe by the time you get that you'll have enough playtime with alucard so in the end the sword wouldn't matter anyway.

I consider a character maxed when they have and max all their base skills or subweapons. For Alucard, that means his 5 spells.

And a decent weapon he can solo with in my opinion.
