So I've finally got BDCing down with these babies, but I was wondering about something I've seen a few Somas and Alucards doing against R. The Count:
They seemed to be hitting R. The Count while jump-cancelling with dual Muramasas just as fast as though they were BDCing. Exactly what did they do? Like I said I can BDC really well, but I've got no idea how to do it in the air or if it's even possible (they could have done a BDC before or after the short jump, and given how cluster-effy dual Muras are it's a possibility that my eyes lied to me >.<).
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I'd have to see a video to know for sure, but it's likely they're abusing the auto-recovery associated with landing from a jump (I.E. regardless of what you're doing in the air, you'll be able to act again the instant you hit the ground). Just do a really low jump, throw out both weapons, and then jump again as soon as you hit the ground since landing cancels your recovery. Repeat as necessary. The trick is to make sure you're never touching either attack when you're on the ground. I personally find this to be easier than backdash-canceling, but your mileage may vary. Note that there are a few weapons for which this doesn't really work, particularly the Claimh.
Edit: I just read another post where someone referred to this as "Shanoa backdash canceling," which seems appropriate because I see Shanoa players use this all the time.
