Hey, new to the game. Thanks for any help I can get. I rock a Fuma and I can get to the final boss on Hard 11 without much difficulty, but he messes me up. I'm doing very little damage to him and generally have to have a few Meat Grinders with me.
I've only found one Fuma Gear and that's the Helm. I heard someone say they got it all with 57 luck. With that in mind, What are the top luck items I need? I could look at the drop lists but I haven't seen a list corresponding with the stats of the item.
Does the hidden MP regen on fuma gear work individually or do you need everything on?
What are the best shoes? I wear the Mercury Boots. I know that there are a pair that goes faster. Is there a pair that only makes running faster, but not jumping and sliding? Which is the fastest in order please. Where does Fuma Greaves compare? Do Fuma greaves only make you run faster or do they allow you to jump and slide faster as well?
Do I need to max out every subweapon before my pulse blade has the highest flame setting (not referring to stats)? its shooting out a pulse thats twice my height. i vaguely recall someone shooting out a triple height pulse.

Hey, new to the game. Thanks for any help I can get. I rock a Fuma and I can get to the final boss on Hard 11 without much difficulty, but he messes me up. I'm doing very little damage to him and generally have to have a few Meat Grinders with me. Hard 11 is not specifically the best place to "start", I'd advise you leveling up Fuma's subs to at least 8 and getting some better gear in other chapters. The influence on the Luck stat over chest drops is ambiguous. However, going by statistics, it does not seem likely that it does affect chest drops at all. Items that boost your luck significantly and can be worn by Fuma are: Head: Uraeus, Royal Crown Chest: Three 7s, Death's Robe Back: All the Raiment-cloaks, however specifically Ebisu Raiment "increases your chances of finding rare items" Acc.: Thief Ring, but also Apollonian/Artemisian Rings are giving quite a bit of luck. Food: Truffles This is one of the few things I cannot answer you, but from what I know, only 1 item of the set actually has the MP regeneration, and I believe it's the boots. That really depends on what you are trying to achieve. There's actually 4 different shoes that make you go faster than Mercury Boots. No. Why would you want worse jumping anyway? Mercury Boots -> Retro Boots -> Winged Boots -> Sonic Boots Fuma Greaves are somewhere close to Winged Boots, I forgot if they're a bit faster or slower, though (probably slower). Every speed boost affects your jumping since it changes your momentum speed. However, I do not think any of the speed-improving boots have an effect on your slide speed. If you want that increased, get Slick or Slide Boots. Yes. First, you shoot out 1 flame, if you have all your subs at around 6-ish, you start shooting out 2 flames, and if you have all of them at 9, you will shoot 3 flames.

Thanks for the quick reply.
With that in mind, something wierd happened. All my subs were at 7 except for one which was at 6. I'm fighting the one who is many and win. When I finish the battle and start another level, I immediately have 2 flames. This struck me as funny at the time because I would assume that my flames would've leveled mid boss fight or somewhere in the level.
also, what ware the luck items worth going for? i read what you said but i was getting fuma helms like mad when my luck hit 20

Both the Fuma Helm and Fuma Armor give MP regen. The helm is something like 0.4MP/s, and the armor 0.6MP/s. They work independently, although I haven't been able to identify whether or not there is some hidden bonus to having the full set equipped (to MP or anything else). The Greaves have identical running speed to Winged Boots, but no MP regen bonus. All three Fuma pieces also give +INT, which increases the damage per hit on all subweapons (though not to a high degree), as well as a bonus to max MP (30 each on the Helm/Armor, 10 on the Greaves).

are you also of the opinion that luck gear doesn't help you get fuma gear from chests? im seeing mixed opinions. i have two of the items already on that list of luck guy. i don't see how 50 something luck is obtainable at all.

I got all my Fuma gear by wearing the following on Fuma:
Royal crown Three 7s Winged Boots Ebisu Raiment Thief Ring x2
I don't recall what the actual luck score I got from this was. Basically I ran chapter 11 hard, and would go straight to the sub-boss associated with the piece I was looking for (decapiclops for helm, chimyriad for armor, oxocutioner for greaves). I'd enter the sub-boss room, run underneath/jump over the boss, open the chest, and then die. Then repeat. It probably took me 50+ reps on some of them, but that doesn't take too long if you don't stop to kill anything along the way.
I don't really know what to think about luck because I can't prove whether or not it helped, but I did get the results I was looking for (exactly one of each piece). I haven't gotten any additional Fuma gear in any of my "normal" runs of chapter 11 before or since, regardless of gear.

I ended up trying out the high strength setup rumor and getting the greaves after 7 tries then the armor after like 3 more tries. i had also found someone online and it was just me and him grinding the level over and over again in less than 7 minutes.
the only other difference i found besides switching from mp regen to high strength was that i had gotten all my subs to 8 and was wearing the feather boots. had the greaves before i got the armor.
