Reason I'm asking is because, aside from The +1 versions of the Val, Claimh, Al Sword and Mura and some minor souls here and there, I'm pretty much done with Soma and Alucard and I'm really thinking of going back to Charlotte. however, I need to know if a Luck base set up or a MP regen set up would be better for spell grinding

Tough call, since Luck affects how soon you get the spell, while MP regen helps use the Book of Binding.
I used Luck, personally, and it still took some effort to get the spells. MP Regen sounds better, but I would imagine it would ultimately take longer to get the spells.
Either route is good, but be prepared to use a lot of time on the stages to get those spells.

I find what build to use only changes a little depending on what I'm trying to grind. For the most part I used Robe Decollete, Royal Crown, and Winged Boots (_still_ can't get those Sonic Boots) with either A-rings or Chaos. Very few things really require you to lift the shield so frequently that you need Chaos rings, and even if they do you can always just evade the attack.
Also I felt like the time investment in maxing charlotte was a lot less than any of the use-leveled characters, but that's partially due to the fact that I only play solo or local co-op.

thanks for the replies. Swerve: of the peices of gear that I have, the only one I don't have is the Robe Decollete, HOWEVER, I have the Bishamon Raiment, So it really boils down to ethier using Theif rings for the +10 Luck boost and Three 7s or op for Choas Rings and armor that boosts my Int and HP

I think I'd probably go the int/hp route with thief rings unless you really feel like you're always out of mana and having to dodge more attacks than you absorb.
