Before we continue, I would like to introduce a warning. The DLC discussed here will mostly be non-existant, and the products of our imagination. This thread is to discuss things you would have liked to see if the DLC were still being produced for it. Do not flame me if you can't find this stuff on the XBOX Live or PS3 networks.
With the disclaimer out of the way, the idea is simple. Post things you would have liked to see as DLC, and discuss other people's ideas as well. This is not about modding or hacking the game, but you could discuss possible gear ideas if hacking can prove them possible.
Chapter Idea: Chapter 12, a homage to the inverted castle in Symphony of the Night, this stage has 4 sub-bosses and one final boss, but not all sub-bosses need to be beaten to win. The idea is the five "Relic of Vlad" bosses, with Death being the last one.
You start at the bottom, and work your way around and up, the left path leading to Giant Bat and The Creature (renamed Warrior Creature for simplicity), while the right leads to Medusa and Akmodan II, with Death being at the top (Again, renamed for convenience to Classic Death). (All will be Symphony of the Night versions in appearance)
Each sub boss will have at least a rare drop item that may be exclusive to the stage, and unique souls, possibly unique spells.
Classic Death will use the regular Deathscythe as his spell, so recycled, but saves on file size. The soul, however, will be up to two giant scythe blades that float around Soma, that will spin and float at enemies near Soma for Slash damage.
Medusa will give a Petrifying Beam spell to Charolette and Soma, which does not deal much damage, but can petrify enemies.
Warrior Creature's soul will swing a hammer, which the size depends on the soul's rank.
Giant Bat's soul will have a single giant bat familiar, that can swoop at enemies for Blunt damage.
Akmodan II's soul will summon mummies for Soma.
Classic Death will use the Symphony of the Night attacks and both forms, but will spawn scythes through both forms, the scythes larger than normal in the second form. In addition, he will occassionally use five pillars of dark energy one after the other that follow your character.
Giant Bat will get fireballs it spits, (3 on Normal, 5 on Hard) in addition to his old attacks, including his wing gale that will pick up and slam airborne characters into the wall.
Warrior Creature will be identical to his old fight, except he will occasionally fire a large lightning laser from his mouth that has to be ducked or jumped over. It lasts longer on Hard, making ducking more viable.
Medusa will have her same attacks, but she can lash her tail out to attack and poison characters, summon a wave of Medusa Heads, and on Hard will use the Portrait of Ruin version of her petrification beam, which fills the room, and must be avoided by facing AWAY from her. In either form of petrification, she will summon lightning as in Symphony of the Night.
Akmodan II, however, will receive major improvements, starting with being able to lash his arm out like the mummy enemies on Chapter 7, with the exception this will grab a character into his grapple spin. He still spawns dust clouds when hit, which will inflict curse on Hard.
Still need ideas for unique items to be found on it, but I have a couple.
Item Ideas: Scholar's Ring - Basically the same as a Sage Ring and a Master Ring combined.
Ring of Feanor - Similar to what it did in Symphony of the Night, only it boosts slightly worse than an Apollonian/Artemisian ring, but does not depend on time.
Ring of Varda - Probably going to be the Hard Only, Boss Only item, this will boost about 2-5 points more than the Apollonian/Artemisian Ring in each catergory, plus it MIGHT give a boost to MP Regeneration similar to the Sage Ring, but I doubt it. I think it working any time of day and being better than the Apollonian/Artemisian Rings makes it evil enough.
Heart Amulet (Can't call it the Heart Brooch due to that being taken) - Does what the Heart Brooch did in Symphony of the Night, only for the skills. Which is to say, reduces their MP cost, but not halving it outright, that'd be too powerful. Also, should NOT work on HP costs when using the Astral Ring with it in my opinion.
