...shouldnt Shanoa, Johnathan, and Charlotte have all their glyphs, weapons and equipment? I mean, in their games, they were epic as heck, but in HD, they barely have any stuff. Compare it to Soma or Alucard, they get almost, if not, everything they had in their original games, while Shanoa, Johnny and Charl are deprived in their choice of weaponry (Shanoa's weapon glyphs, Johnny's weaponry, and Charlotte's reportoire of books (Don Quixote, Tristan & Isolde, Blank Book, etc.). And Shanoa is deprived in equpiment (Shanoa's Tarot Rings and earrings/Headgear(Dont tell me you guys forgot about the Death Ring? Or even the Queen of Hearts headgear?)). What do you guys think?

I think Soma is the favourite of Konami, it's the only character who has a lot of skills, weapons, magic, etc.
Even Alucard isn't the same as SOTN (i.e. shield rod, not all spells are available in HD, Soul steal just recovers 1 per hit). And with the DLC Alucard just got Alucard+1 for him (with the same power as maxed Badelaire). His other weapons are for soma too (Valmanway+1, Muramasa+1, Yasutsuna+1)
It's unfair, but true...

I haven't played any Castlevania games since the first two NES ones, so I can't really compare all these new characters. Still, it does seem that Soma got a lot more love than the other characters.

I was disappointed about Jonathan's lack of weapons. He uses other weapons in PoR. You hardly even touch the whips in it until later.
And if it wasn't already for Soma destroying balance, I would say it would unbalance Shanoa if she had all of her things (They atleast chose the best ones, IMO) but they gave a meager selection of Weapons and Glyphs.
With Charlotte,I liked the way they upgraded her books, and she felt the closest to her counterpart, with most of her spells here.

Well, all of the rings are useful. And they would be exclusive to Shanoa. lol They could all drop in the order they were in Tarot cards, their difficulty increases the highest you go (Fool being the easiest to find, World being the hardest to find). Fool = Lowers all stats but raises luck Magician = Lowers Str but raises Int. Priestess = Lowers Str and Int but raises Con and Mnd. Empress = Lowers Con and Mnd but raises Str and int. Emperor = Raises Def. Increases recovery effects. Hierophant = Raises Def. Gains more exp for subs. Lovers = Raises Def. Increases Hearts aquired. Chariot = Lowers Int and Mnd but raises Str and Con. Justice = Enemies killed increase attack power. Hermit = Lowers Str and Con but raises Int and Mnd. (Wheel of) Fortune = Play time increases luck. Strength = Lowers int, raises Str. Hanged Man = Raises Def. Recover from jumps quickly (recover from aerial hit). Death = Raise All stats but luck by ALOT. Hits may cause instant death. Temperance = Raises all stats. Devil = Raises Con. Stats increase as you take damage. Tower = Lowers all stats. You can take hits and not be knocked away. Star = Increased Mp recovery rate. Moon = Status increases at Night. Sun = Status increases at day. Judgement = ...Well, theres no Glyph union to increase effectiveness, but maybe increase Dual Crush effectiveness? World = Decreases Mp Consumption. If Soma is going to be a game breaker, then Shanoa and the rest at least should gain some fair play.
