Hi everyone.
Which is the last word about luck in Castlevania HD? There are guys that say that the Luck doesn't affect the boss chest drop.
Is it true? I saw a topic in a webpage that say that the luck aplied to the boss chest is from the player that hits the last time the boss. This was "apparently" the official version from Konami.
It's not something important, but I think is stupid to put items with high luck and low habilities just for nothing.
We need proofs, not "I think" 's
Regards.
PS Sorry I don't speak english properly D:

The last word about Luck is that it only affects normal drops, not boss drops.
Luck affects how often a normal enemy will drop an item onto the field, how often Soma can earn a soul upon defeat, how faster it takes Charlotte to absorb the spell, how often Shanoa's glyph absorb is succesfull, and the drops of normal chests. (Brown, Green, Purple, Blue for solo)
What Luck does NOT affect is the boss drop. This has been proven by many people with many methods, from multiple luck runs and even hacking. Any claims you see of boss drops from luck gear are coincidental, or trolling for attention.
The only factor in Boss Drops is character. I.E. if you want a better chance of getting winged/sonic boots, use a character with a smaller drop pool.

OK, I understand. But what proofs what you are talking about? The person I mentioned showed an e-mail from a developer Konami (or something like that, I really don't remember). I have heard everything about this topic. I need a strong argument rather than an explanation of what luck does. Thank you.

I don't have physical proof myself here, but you can look up numerous threads on GameFAQs about the topic. Someone even has numbers listed out and statistics.
We all know about the 'official' word from Konami, but unfortunately it is wrong.

I can tell you that Luck really works. The think is, that every player must wear luck gear. It does not work if only you wear high luck and the luck of all other players is almost not higher than 5.
I have played with 4-5 Friends luck runs (We change to luck after beaten a boss, so we can clear the chapter really quick) and it really works. But of course you need at least Ebisu Raiment and two Thief rings.
If you dont believe me, play chapter 5 solo with Soma (Royal Crown, Death Robe/ three7, ebisu, 2 thief rings and dead warrior. your luck should be now at 48/51). try to clear the chapter with luck gear on (because its a long way to change it after beaten the boss). after you killed boss go to the right room next to the boss room and eat the caviar. you will see that you recieve many death souls, ancient armors, berserk mails and scythes.
i can show you that this works.
my friends and me also played some chapter 7 runs (maybe 15 times) and we get 2 miser rings, 6-8 winged boots, 1 robe decollete, 1 baudelaire (the weapon for alucard) and 5-6 royal crowns.

Hi sangheili! I saw a video with your theory on Youtube. In the two examples they got Claihm+1 an Valmanway+1 and a couple Souls (That was a long time ago, o I don't remember).
Unfortunately this method is useless in Chapter 11. But I can say that I got Yasutsuna+1 quickly by wearing luck.
I believe luck works on boss chests, but, unfortunately, I don't have any proof either D:

Jeah, my friend have made a Video about it and uploaded it to Youtube. We haven't played Chapter 11 on Hard many times, but when, one of us clear the whole level and the boss alone with normal gear and every other player was wearing luck around 40-50.
