My soma is nearly maxed .... puppet master is the only pre dlc soul that I don't have at lvl 9. So my question is.... does maxing all of soma's pre dlc souls increase his dmg with all of his spells? Or are soma's spells all independent?
A big thanks to anyone who can give me a definite answer! I thought they we're all independent but read a post somewhere asking this question... so now I gotta know if I need to get a few more puppet master souls.

I can't give a definite answer but me and my one friend wearing same equipment and such, was doing slightly less damage than me with a soul. Which he was missing a few maxed out from pre dlc and I have everything maxed pre dlc. (and most dlc) We assumed that it might very well be that. But not sure. Never fully tested it.
If you want sometime, we can go into a game together and test it. I'm a fully maxed soma minus the mini bosses + r. count from chapter 10. (1-9 and 11 are maxed)

Anytime go ahead and send me a msg unless I'm with some friends I'm up to test this out. Though I will be on the Gears 3 Beta quite a bit soon as its up and running but I will get bored of it non stop xD
I'd like to know myself honestly but never really bothered to test it. Whenever we do we'll have to set our equipments the same and so forth. And test same souls, on same enemies. (my GT is in my sig)

I'm 99% sure that Soma's overall stats (or at least damage) are increased slightly with every core soul. The DLC ones do not increase strength for him, or any characters, for that matter.
Edit: Alright, I was wrong, the chapter 1-6 souls increase your overall SPELL damage, not melee damage, the dlc souls don't do anything.
