Because you'll probably assume they're going to block free users from everything, well they're not. Everything I'm currently getting by paying for a subscription, starting in february will be completely free. My main character is Phantasmid. Angry looking redheaded loli. I am on a trial account though, so no friends list, I assume I can't join guilds or anything either.

You can't add me to your friendslist, however I can add you. I'll log on in a few. edit: added you on both characters. Squeezit and Kalsea
I have no clue if we can invite you to a guild, I've never tried inviting a free user, personally.
Depending on what level you're at, you could join myself and a friend.
We're around level 21 I believe (I'll double check in a moment) edit: Level 23 Our party consists of my Sorcerer and her Slayer.
What class are you using?
Even though you're on a free trial account (which goes fully free next month anyways), you can still use party chat after one of us invites you. You can also talk in public chat ( /s )
We can't trade you any items, and you can't sell any items in trade broker but you can buy items. So if we were, for example, to pick up an item you wanted/needed. We could just put it in the broker for 1 copper or something.

I was a level 27 warrior but rerolled that character (I have another at level 15 or so) to play with one of my friends, so I'm sitting at level 9 now.
...also depending on how much content is open to us for testing in beta I may be spending a lot of my time on FFXIV's relaunch beta starting next month.

quite possibly a lot, since they're trying very hard to redeem themselves.
I'm not sure if I'm automatically re-accepted into the beta since I was accepted into FFXIV closed beta originally.
Anyways you'll often see me logged in on one of my characters at night.
Press U and you'll see both my characters on your friendslist.

My friends are slow and never on so I've been playing my priest more lol
Reaumier, level 20. Almost caught up to you guys.
Edit: 22 now. And it took me like 8 tries to solo a basilisk... only because random warriors kept coming by and "helping" at around 30% HP. 3:
As for FFXIV beta, you're in if you had a paid account for 3 months (not sure if it's only after a certain point) to get legacy status. Otherwise you have to apply again if you're interested.
