Exactly why I hate WoW. Ex-roommate of mine for the better portion of 2 years did nothing but play WoW sans job. ... Loser does not begin to cover this man's character. I really didn't like MW2. I grew to hate and the douchebaggy way people played that game. Black Ops, I actually do well in (and tend to Knife and T.Hawk my way through games late, cause it's fun for me. ) my current roommate doesnt have a job and just sits on his ass and plays DND (or he calls it pathfinder, but its the same thing as far as im concerned) and sets up shit cause he's a dungeon master or whatever. He plays DnD over AIM, and in person with other losers like himself. I play a little of both. Maids, VSion, Arc, and Warc in MBAC, pretty much all F-Ryougi in MBAA. I'm really picky about who I'll netplay with though, I won't do anything higher than 2 frames. It's killing me being in the midwest and actually caring enough not to play on worse connections, no competition. D: I haven't netplayed in so long, im not entirely sure i still have it set up (not sure if i ever set it up for this current laptop) But i very rarely found a game with no lag.. I live in Arizona, and it seems like most people live in the east coast. I did have a couple friends in california that played though. My best characters were Kohaku, white len, Ryougi Shiki is awesome (I also loved her anime).... Blah I'm good with other characters but it's been awhile. Oh and Arcuied.

I'm thinking about re-adding Shining Soul 2 (GBA) to my rotation. It will be funny going back to that game after having played CVHD, as the treasure chests look and act very similar.

Yeah, it's hard to get a good connection... Best I've ever gotten as far as AZ was 4f, which wasn't SO bad I guess, but I couldn't hit any of Arcueid's rejump combos in it which makes me feel so sad and worthless. As far as getting 2f latency, you've gotta be within like 6 hours driving distance, port forwarded, everything wired, etc. AZ actually has a decent Melty scene offline if you're willing to drive out to meet up with people (depending on where exactly in AZ you live to begin with) though. There's a few guys here in Iowa too, but they're not good enough to warrant driving 3 hours to play them.

I got into melty blood because i used to work at anime conventions, and one of the conventions we had out here years ago, we had some people with a ps2 bring in Act Cadenza. Ever since then i've been a hardcore melty/tsukihime fan

MBAC was just a random fighting game I decided to try a long while back (I later found out I started playing like... right after ver.B came out despite having thought it was pretty old at the time). I didn't much care for it then, though. Later on I got tired of playing #Reload on netplay (it's awful...desyncs like every other game), and a lot of the people I'd been playing it with started to get into MBAC so I started picking it up to play with them, and ended up really getting into it then. Now I'm hooked enough that I don't even really like the other fighting games I play, and only practice them because I don't have enough competition in Melty. In fact I'm passionate enough that I want to buy a Current Code setup (well...might wait for the new version now though they said the upgrade from CC is free). I don't just mean "yeah it'd be nice," I actually have a big chunk of money set aside to buy an arcade cabinet and just haven't been able to find anywhere CC kits are in stock.

Current Code is the latest version of MBAA, it's a port of the PS2 version back to arcades. Has new meters and effects (ripples through the screen when you tech and such... looks really cool) along with all kinds of tweaks to the characters. In particular, hyped for stronger Sacchin, Wara, and Ryougi.
No console port, and there probably never will be, which is why I felt it was necessary to import an arcade setup... But now there's ANOTHER version coming, so whatever.
