So I joined a bunch of randoms on a Stage 12 rundown... and THAT took hours as well, but we finally managed to reach the final boss.
And gooooood he has a lot of HP! Level 60s+ wailing on him and his HP bar barely trickles down. It doesn't help that the intro to the battle is like a five minute long cinema as he descends from the heavens slowly like Kefka from FF6.
Jeez.... I think fighting him takes as long as it does just to GET to him.

Yep. I want the level 4 Niltor MC, though. I saw a Silence using it in one of the parties I was in. He didn't do much fighting, just used that and it made the game so much easier.
Haven't had a chance to try blinding the enemies yet, but it sounds effective. Then again, there are apparently some MC's that cancel others, so I don't know.
By the way, if the final boss is really that bad, just listen to what I read about Insane difficulty. Apparently, every level past 50, you take ADDITIONAL damage from enemies on that difficulty. Means level 99's are pretty much one hit KO'd all the time.
One more thing. After digging through GameFAQs, I managed to find a decent MC location guide in the PS3 section. It's somewhere in the forums.

Oh dear god, I think I almost solo'd stage 9 earlier. And then towards the end, there were two of those cannon boss things from stage 4. My HP bar depleted from full to empty in one shot.
They really aren't holding back on the difficulty.

I just bought the game Saturday, I've played only 1 charachter but hes at 40 something. The dude with the axe, consequently, I haven't seen ANYONE else using him yet. Ask Ren who does all work when it comes to boss fights...

I'm only 30 on my Seyfert.
Also, if you guys don't mind, can I host and run from 9 up to 12? I just want the stages unlocked for whenever I actually attempt to get my achievement. But I figured it'd be easier with a team of two or more people. I am complete crap towards the end of 9 alone.
