Ahh, my bad. I can see a lot of simularities but I guess that makes sense.
Still, any possibility for an english port? Probably not but one can dream.

No real need for one, French Bread tends to write most of the important parts of menus in English. That said, they aren't even talking about when it's coming out in arcades yet, let alone consoles/PC.

The story is terrible and you should feel bad for caring.
No, really, from what I've read so far of translations, the story is pretty terrible. If you only like games with stories, in general, you should stay far, far, FAR away from fighting games; the better/more focused the story is, the worse the game is, invariably. Just look at how awful BlazBlue and the new Mortal Kombat are.
From what I gather it's sort of like a halfass knockoff of Bleach, which was already god awful. People gaining some sort of power that turns them into monsters, Linne is hunting them, Hyde ends up joining her and apparently has those powers but isn't turning into a monster for some reason. Something to that effect.

Melty Blood has a pretty good story, but then again it didn't start off as a fighting game.

Ah got it.
Too bad, I'd love to see Shiki or someone carry over.
On another note, I found some rumors that Melty Blood AACC was announced for US xbox 360 and PSN
I can't find the article anymore. But I was only able to find one article about it, and if the article were to be believed it should have been released last month anyways.
So it was either canceled or it never was true to begin with.
On the bright side, Mirror Moon is about 50% complete with the translation of the game, and I happen to have the PC version myself with a half-assed Translation installed on it.
Better than nothing.
I have a question for you though Midboss, There was apparently a visual novel/game of a sequel to Tsukihime, not the silly one where Shiki is trapped in a single day, but there was supposed to be one where the manga had left off, where he is apparently in search of some fruit that would cure Arcueid's thirst for blood.
Do you know anything of this, or the name of it?

On the 360 rumors, I never caught anything of the sort. Maybe someone's wishful thinking. French Bread and ecole have been very up front about the fact they simply cannot afford to even consider 360, let alone an official NA release; they can't even afford to port to PSN. Don't see why they can't translate text then release it as a digital release...Shouldn't be too expensive to change text, hell Mirror Moon did half the work for them! I'd love to have it on my ps3 though, currently I have a pirated copy (because importing a copy is really hard right now, there hasn't been one available) As for the Tsukihime sequel I was talking about.
