another metroidvania game that, although it's an adult game, it's a really fun game. You can skip all the adult sequences, as they're all voluntary (except the ending, but if you skipped all the adult sequences in the game, your ending will also not be adult)

This looks really cool. I wish there were more games in the vein of Castlevania. Gonna check it out later.

Though I gotta say, I really detest the term "metroidvania" It's like saying a platformer is a "mariosonic" game, or a 2D shooter is a contragunstar game.

there's a bunch of "metroidvania" games like this one out there, Bunny Must Die is another one, though i've never played it, heard it was really really good

This game was pretty good. I liked it better than a couple Metroidvanias, actually. (glaring at you Dawn of Sorrow 3:) Looking forward to the sequel.

For anyone curious about it, don't let the fact it's technically an h-game turn you off, it's got some legitimately good gameplay. Think Mega Man Zero.

Just don't die, don't stay down, don't kill humans, and burst if something grabs you. You'll be able to avoid it entirely, and it's not even that explicit to begin with.


Also as far as endings, I know there's at least 4. One for good alignment but having killed humans (this is the adult one), one for being pure, one for going back and forth between alignments without killing humans, and one for being corrupt.

i think there's only 1 non-H ending.
i don't recall but i got all the endings (curiousity)
if you know me, you'd know I'm not all into the whole hentai scene, and i loved this game.

Nah only the one ending had rape, I actually got all four that I know of yesterday. The other three didn't so much as imply it, though there's a good chance you already got raped to get to the evil one (but it's not a hard requirement, since you can go corrupt via the dark orb).

oh, i forgot, the original version had different endings than the updated version.
i played through the original, i havent seen the updated endings yet.

and i can't say for sure when you became the demon lords mistress if there was any sex in that ending, though im pretty sure there was atleast slight talk of it

In the new version there's no talk of it.

Interesting to hear that the endings changed. What with NS2 having a male character and the endings apparently being made softer he might be steering away from it being an h-game, which would be nice.

Relm's still in it, but she's joined by 3 new characters, two women and a generic knight guy.
Also new shot types, new weapon types, a variety of weapons for each, new leveling mechanics, etc. Looks pretty good.

Presumably the ending where you switch alignments repeatedly but don't kill any humans was the true ending.

Wouldn't hold my breath on it coming to Xbox though.
